Similar dress but with thicker material to hide the lumps and bumps

Hi, I love the style of this jersey dress but even with spanx you can see lumps and bumps and I don't feel 100% comfortable in it. I want a similar style but in a thicker, more flattering material. Any ideas?

COS are good for thicker jersey dresses :)

I have some from ASOS- there’s black, khaki and leopard print

Lovely thick material

Could you take it to a seamstress and have it made in velvet? Velvet doesn't reflect the light and can be very flattering.

Amyheadache · 04/07/2021 00:52

I’d go thinner, more figure skimming material personally

Wear a slip underneath?

Orchidflower1 · 04/07/2021 00:59

No sensible dress suggestions but just wanted to say you look fab in your original dress.

I find Holy clothing material flattering and skims.

These are embroidered but I think similar in style/silhouette

There are also some similar midi length dresses on the website. They are all in rayon though, I'd kill for these in cotton though Grin

Thanks, thought the replies had dried up so hadn't checked back. @Orchidflower1 thanks that's a lovely compliment, I just didn't feel right so I've sent it back.

I've ordered some from ASOS, I'll see what they're like.

I've actually just got this mint velvet one, it's gorgeous but a bit baggy under the bust and sleeveless so not the most flattering for me...

DVF Diane Von Furstenburg (SP.?) is known for her wrap dresses. They are super flattering for women with large boobs and small waists. Check out her stuff-
