New skin care regime - Vichy, Avene or Bioderma?

Help!
I've fallen down a rabbit warren whilst looking for a new skin care regime and need help choosing which brand to try!

I'm 42, my skin isn't too bad (combination) but I do have congestion on my forehead and temples. Plus, I get a few horrendous spots around my chin/jawline which seem to be directly related to hormones and they take weeks to heal (still have the red marks from the previous months spots when the new ones appear). I'm pretty sure I'm peri-menopausal too.

Randomly my facial skin sometimes feels as though it's sunburnt, even when I haven't been out in the sun at all or changed any products.

I'm primarily looking at Vichy, Avene or Bioderma. They all seem to get pretty good reviews, seems to be an ok price (& often are on offer) and are available in my local stores. Does anyone have any experience of these?

I was considering La Roche Posay too but have recently been using their Sensitive Micellar water and since I've been using it I've developed a lot of under the skin spots on my temples (never had spots there before) plus, it's very heavily perfumed which I find strange for something supposedly for sensitive skin.

I'm wondering if I should go back to a cleanser/toner combination rather than a Micellar water.

Anyway, if you reached the end of all that waffle is anyone able to advise which of the 3 brands mentioned I should try first please, and suggest any specific products from their ranges?

Thanks in advance.

There's not much in it tbh. They're all good brands with similar products. Of those 3,i think I prefer Vichy but I would happily use any of them. But I prefer LRP to all of them. I use the cleansing gel rather than micellar water.

Are you washing your face again after the micellar water? It can clog skin (technical!) If not rinsed away.

I like a proper Cleanser not miscellar water. I use a Balm then a wash. Vichy do a gel one if you get congested. I love the LRP moisturiser it's such a winner for me.

@WhereAreWeNow thanks. Would you mind telling me which products from the LRP range you use please? I'm wondering if I should give it a try as so many people recommend it.

@Badabingbadabum thanks. I had no idea that was the case. I'll try rinsing after using it.

@doadeer thanks. Would you mind sharing what products you use, including the LRP moisturiser please? Thanks

I have mixed and matched from those brands. My preference overall is for Vichy - I really like the mineral 89 serum which is light but makes me skin feel so much better. I haven't really rated any of the avene products that I've used. They've been fine but nothing special.

I have rosacea and have been trying a Avene cleanser. Tbh I haven't noticed it's any better than a Boots of Simple much cheaper alternative.

Of course happy to share but I have a different skin type. I'm dry tenancy and my face can take a lot of moisture!

I use various cleansing balms: elemis, Rituals, eve lom, rose Balm from m&s

Then I like a cleanser like the espa optimal Pro, Ren jelly Cleanser

I then use a Retinol (Medik8 or beauty pie) OR an exfolitor like Paula's Choice BHA or an AHA

Next is beauty pie serum capsules which I love!

Then I use a facial oil - sunday Riley or Emma Hardie

Then LRP moisturiser.

It looks like a lot written down but I love doing it and my skin glows. I don't wear make up.

I find the LRP moisturiser great (and their Spf)

A simple but effective routine would be
Cleanse - exfoliate 3x per week with BHA, moisturise
