What would you wear to a drag show and then a fancy restaurant?

Going out with some friends in London next month for a birthday. One of them has organised a drag show - I've only been once and wasn't that keen on it. The dress code was pretty casual, some women there dressed more on the sexier side - but this was years ago. The restaurant they booked (cant remember the name of it) is considered quite posh, so will likely have an unofficial dress code.

What should I wear? Don't want to look too fancy for the first half of the evening and then ridiculously underdressed or trashy the second half at a posh restaurant.

I'm 40 and a size 8/10. Would prefer a dress if some sort and don't mind a bit of a heel.

Whatever it is make sure you have room to put your dignity for safe keeping should you wish to have it again at a later date.

A men's suit.

Oh, one of those shows where men appropriate women. What fun.

Adult human female T-shirt?

Dress for the restaurant. I'm not sure being overdressed at a drag show is possible.

Whatever you want, I personally like to dress up a bit, you can't be overdressed for drag!

I don't think you need to worry about looking too fancy at a drag show Grin
