For an actual party, how exciting! Where would you go looking for one?

I've looked on Reiss website and Karen Millen (although since i heard they rebadged Dorothy Perkins apparel as KM for the website i've been most put off) but nothing hitting the spot yet. Too many on ASOS and i'm not necessarily after something cut price.

I'd look on Wolf & Badger.

bonfireheart · 27/06/2021 09:14

Colour? Style? Budget?

BuffySummersReportingforSanity · 27/06/2021 09:17

Or if I had money to spend I'd also go on Matches Fashion and Net a Porter and look at what was on sale.

LivingLaVidaCovid · 27/06/2021 09:21

How nice!!!!!

If you want something special and have budget I would really advise going into Selfridges, liberty, Harvey Nichols on a Tuesday or similar and getting a personal shopper/nice assistant to try on a range of things. I did this and got a really super /special dress that made me feel great!

ginoginellizzz · 27/06/2021 09:21

Have you considered renting one. Hurr collective is incredible.

NutellaEllaElla · 27/06/2021 09:25

Thank you! There is currently a lovely top from Wolf and Badger following me round on the internet.

I like deep jewel colours generally, black, gold or silver.
Style - i'm thinking not full length, I don't like high necklines generally, probably sleeveless.
Budget - up to £400. I don't think it's necessary to spend too much.

Good idea about a personal shopper.

Never thought of renting a dress, will have a look! It's the kind of thing you probably won't wear many times isn't it so that makes sense.

I'm not generally a flowery/frilly clothing person

Renting is the way forward for me for special events. My dream dress that I could never ever afford.

Have you looked on the Outnet?

AtillatheHun · 27/06/2021 19:00

How tall are you? I’m sending a fantastic one shouldered Rebecca valance dress back to my Theresa (sale bargain) as it’s for someone much taller than me but it’s a fantastic dress. There are lots within your budget on my Theresa / outnet/ net a Porter sale

NutellaEllaElla · 27/06/2021 19:18

ooh new suggestions thank you. Will look at the Outnet and my Theresa
I'm 5'9.5.

Bombshell www.bombshellhq.com/
This is what I'd be going for if I needed a do dress. Up to £400 would make me look at Adrianna Pappell or similar.

NutellaEllaElla · 28/06/2021 09:28

Oh some lovely options there
