Chin length hair styles. Is the one length blunt cut 'out'?

My hair is not quite chin length, all one length and blunt cut, with some layers/thinning out underneath. I'm a bit fed up with it as I have to style it so it is not straight and flat. Neat straight hair does not suit my square face-shape. Are layers coming back? I don't suit a fringe and think it would look better if my hair weren't all one length at the front, but I remember layers making my hair look thin and wispy. Is there an inbetween option?

Thank you.

I'm in exactly the same boat!

I've got mid-neck length, blunt cut bob with a middle parting. I read something about bobs having more layers at the moment. Something about Italian and British bobs instead of French which I think (?) is what we have Confused

I'm growing mine out, so can't get it cut for a while. But, when I do, I think I'll go for layers including some round the front. It is beginning to feel quite shapeless.
