Luxurious Shower Wash

Hi All,
Would love recommendations for a really luxurious Shower/body wash? I normally use Dove and like the very thick/creamy texture but I've gone completely off the scent. I'm pregnant and like the idea of a splurge as a treat :) Thanks!
@BirdsandBeesmakinghay do you think it could be the SLS? I used to have a reaction to that so ended up using savon de Marseilles in the big blocks. The proper stuff has a really high olive oil content which I found soothed my skin.
Yes I buy olive oil soap in France and Greece if I am on holiday there. I find olive oil soap is not the same here. Haven’t tried Marseille ones though. Yes it is the SLS. If anyone can recommend shower gels without the nasties that would be great.

Chanel shower gels smell incredible and lather up beautifully. They feel very luxurious and come in classy heavy bottles.

YanTanTethera123 · 22/06/2021 09:06

@BirdsandBeesmakinghay

I find they all dry out my skin and make me itch.
And me, sadly. Korea’s brought me out in a horrible itchy rash, I ended up on antihistamines. I prefer a good quality soap, lasts ages and far better for my skin.
YanTanTethera123 · 22/06/2021 09:07

Korres not Korea!

ILoveShula · 22/06/2021 09:25

Body Shop or Korres.

Sakura7 · 22/06/2021 10:14

Definitely Rituals, and I like the Sanctuary stuff from Boots as well.

Prefer a nice bar of soap though, especially Nesti Dante.

SummaLuvin · 22/06/2021 13:39

Another vote for Rituals, both their shower gels and shower oils.

Seesawmummadaw · 22/06/2021 13:57

L’Occitaine Almond Shower oil or Neils yard bee lovely gel

beeloubee · 22/06/2021 15:28

I like faith in nature dragonfruit body wash

Yellow85 · 22/06/2021 20:39

Molton Brown rhubarb and rose for me.

ChequerBoard · 22/06/2021 20:44

Laura Mercier - any of her Creme Body Washes are fabulous. Creme Brûlée is a favourite as is the Fresh Fig. It is the ultimate luxury level in a body wash, soft creamy bubbles and delicious long lasting scents.

Lookingoutside · 22/06/2021 21:22

Second that! @ChequerBoard Especially the fig.

headintheproverbial · 22/06/2021 21:36

Jo Malone of course!!!

Greytminds · 22/06/2021 21:39

I went off really strong scents in pregnancy but I’m currently loving Body Shop Green Tea shower gel. So fresh!

postcardfromme · 22/06/2021 21:46

Loccitane Shea butter shower gel

FreekStar · 22/06/2021 21:47

I like the Lush Rose Jam shower gel- it's the foamiest one I've ever found! Oh and it smells just like it sounds- sort of fruity and rosy at the same time and it also looks like jam- the sort you get inside a jam doughnut!

Marmaladegin · 22/06/2021 21:47

@OverByYer

I love L’Occitaine Almond Shower oil. The smell is amazing
Second this. Well worth the cost.
AlGorithim · 22/06/2021 21:52

Following. I was a big fan of Soaper Duper but they seem to have fallen by the Brexit wayside and gone out of business. Sad

bellabride · 22/06/2021 22:28

Does the L’Occitaine shower oil make the base of the shower slippery? I’d like to get some for elderly DM as she’s recently had a walk in shower installed; never had a shower before in her life and loves it!

OverByYer · 22/06/2021 22:46

@bellabride not that I find no. The oil turns soapy when mixed with water. It’s more like a Thicker textured shower gel. It’s not runny like a baby oil

PawsQueen · 22/06/2021 23:58

@bellabride definitely agree not slippery. I use bioderma shower oil sometimes too and that's the same, sort of milky and foamy and not slippery. And I'm cautious after a dancing on ice experience with a soap and glory body scrub Grin
