Ok, I've finally accepted that this post-pregnant tummy bulge isn't going to magically disappear, so please recommend some of those 'hold it all in' knickers.

Haven't got a huge amount of cash so thinking more M&S type thing than Rigby and Peller.

Has anyone bought a pair that they really love and really succeed in slimming you down without cutting you in half.

I have a pair from M&S that I swear by. I am lardy of arse also so I have the cycling shorts type ones. They are surprisingly comfortable, but they are a size bigger than I normally buy to make sure they aren't too tight. They cost around £20 iirc

I understand Spanx are good too but I think they may be more £££

I bought some in Matalan (granted it was a while ago) They start under the boobs and finish mid thigh. And they def. don't squish it all somewhere else. They are a gorgeous flesh colour. I think the ones that come down your thigh, rather than the pant style ones are best IMO, and the higher up top the better!

Thanks for these tips, I'm going shopping later.

I did used to have a pair that pushed all the fat upwards so it looked like I had two sets of boobs .

I've got these. They go right up to my boobs (but I have a very short upper body) and there's no 'over spillage' anywhere. I think they're very good, they don't roll down and I appear to have a flat tummy undeneath my clothes . They are however a bit unconfortable and I only wear them on special occasions.

i have 2 pairs of spanx and they are brilliant. I have even had people comment on how slim I look when wearing them!!! (obviously i didn't tell them i was wearing them...!)
I bought mine off ebay...much cheaper then if you go onto Figleaves or any of those sites.
