In between lockdowns, 13yo DD has started walking herself to school, so it's been a while since I've seen what the other kids are wearing.

Black Air Force 1s. The whole school is wearing them.

4PawsGood · 17/06/2021 07:49

Brogues. Trainers not allowed, sadly.

FuckingBUTTERbeans · 17/06/2021 07:51

Oh, yes, sorry, should have said. We're going shoe shopping at the weekend. They're not allowed trainers or any sort of heel. Thanks for the replies.

Mine has a chunky shoe with a large buckle from Clark’s.

Duvetdweller · 17/06/2021 08:04

One has kickers, the other doc martens

Beamur · 17/06/2021 08:06

Brogues here too

Caramellatteplease · 17/06/2021 08:07

DD now Homeschooled but her friends are all Kickers and Dr Martens.

MrsMiddleMother · 18/06/2021 11:20

Brogues, trainers not allowed in daughters middle school

dancemom · 18/06/2021 11:24

DM Chelsea boots here

CeeceeBloomingdale · 18/06/2021 11:28

Brogues, they have a very strict uniform policy

Petalplucker · 18/06/2021 11:28

Patent leather Doc Marten brogues, her feet have stopped growing and they have lasted two years so far and look like going on longer.

HazeyJaneII · 18/06/2021 11:30

Dr Martens - one has brogues the other Mary Janes

SkunkButRug · 18/06/2021 11:33

Clarks were crap for my size 8 shoe wearing 14yo DD. She bought some loafers from M&S but had to get lace ups for Air Cadets and they were apparently so comfy that they have now become the default school shoe too. Very reasonably priced from Cadet Direct but only really if your teen is rocking the geek chic I guess.

UKhun · 18/06/2021 11:35

DM's are fantastic- you will never need to replace them!

WannabeGilmoreGirl · 18/06/2021 11:35

Black loafers from Next. Strict dress code here too

NeverPromisedYouARoseGarden · 18/06/2021 11:40

Dr Martens. Plain lace-ups but nice soft leather. My DD is in adult sizes now which are £££ but if you are near a Dr Martens outlet they often have some good bargains.

MrsMiddleMother why no brogues? I think they look really smart!

TheTurn0fTheScrew · 18/06/2021 11:42

chunky mary-janes - Doc Marten style

Kitty2019 · 18/06/2021 11:46

Black Air Force 1s or Vans seem to be only socially acceptable show these days

Kitty2019 · 18/06/2021 11:46

Show even 🙄

Kitty2019 · 18/06/2021 11:47

HmmHmmHmmcan't type...shoes!!!!!

idontlikealdi · 18/06/2021 11:49

Most of them are in DMs here. Doesn't she know what she wats?

Elzbells · 18/06/2021 11:50

Whole school are in black Air Force 1 or Kickers

You must have misread my post. I said my daughter wears brogues, trainers are not allowed.
NeverPromisedYouARoseGarden · 18/06/2021 13:38

Ah, yes, I did misread it. I thought it was a bit strange to ban the brogue!
