Flyaway static hair after hairdressers anyone?

I’ve now decided that I’m only going to the hairdressers when I need a cut or my highlights. I literally can’t brush or comb my hair after having been without it standing on end full of static! They use conditioner and a serum. Sometimes not. I can’t wait to wash it myself to stop it happening! Anyone else have this problem?

Yes, every single time, it's bizarre. I don't seem to recall this being an issue years ago but in the last 10, yes. Like you, doesn't seem to matter whether they use serum/conditioner or not. I have very straight, long hair so it's a pain, I can never go "out" immediately after I see them.
However the cut and colour is always very good and they're reasonably priced so not sure I'll change (yet) Smile
I did mention it once and I got a very nonplussed look and she carried on.

I have to always use a tiny bit of wax. I spread it over my hands and just smooth it over.
