saunas are rife with bacteria

nailpolish · 20/11/2007 14:52

dustystar · 20/11/2007 14:53

Its something to do with drawing out the impurities I think.

Its done wonders for your typing too{grin]

testosterone, the enemy of the 30something/40something woman.

i never had spots till i was in my late 30's

ShinyHappyPeopleHoldingHands · 20/11/2007 14:53

You might get a few for a little while but it's getting all the crap out of your skin so it's a good thing. Ultimately saunas help with spots.

CodDickinson · 20/11/2007 14:54

but does my local very clean sowna wher i was by myself make you zitty?
i have some kind of major subterranean earthworks goign on on my chin

Tis like detox - if you go regularly it won't, but at first does draw out the impurities.

CodDickinson · 20/11/2007 15:00

In my experience, yes, but if you stick it out and also keep drinking lots of water you do get lovely soft skin.

Piggy · 20/11/2007 15:01

Make sure you sit on a towel.

CodDickinson · 20/11/2007 15:02

I think if it's at the right temp all the germs get killed.
Get many chat ups in sauna though. Are odd places!

CodDickinson · 20/11/2007 15:04

It's a well known fact that men don't wipe their bottoms properly so be careful.

CodDickinson · 20/11/2007 15:04

i DO think the steam room( prefer it less) has tremendous dramatic possibility - ou cant see who is in there till they walk past you to go out

OP posts:
CodDickinson · 20/11/2007 15:05

ew

Even better to lurk at back and listen in when no-one knows you're there.

Piggy · 20/11/2007 15:08

Glad to hear it.

I am a big fan of saunas and steam rooms. In my younger days when I stayed out late patrying on a regular basis I found 2 litres of water and the steam room was great for hangovers. Can't remember the last time I had a hangover - think I'm getting old.

toolly · 20/11/2007 15:13
