Find Me a Frickin Frock

I'm always amazed by how swiftly and well people respond to these threads!
Here's what I'm after:
Context: partner returning home on leave after a long time away. Going out for a good old fashioned 'date night'.
Me: 42. 5ft7/8. Size 6-8. Not really into appearance!
After: dress. Not maxi/midi. Not 'formal' (I'm more relaxed/boho style-wise). Something that can bebworn with flats - can't do heels!
Budget: £50ish. I'm tight.
If anyone can help, I'll be really grateful. I'd like to break my black-jeans-stappy-top look.
Thanks 😊

ASOS have some Boho styles, is it something like this you are after?

Even though its black, I think the cut of this makes it quite boho. With sandals it wouldn't feel too dressed up?

Well while shopping for you... I've somehow just bought myself a dress on Zara. I can't be trusted even with online browsing Blush. It is beautiful though, I'm already living a full fantasy of all the times I can wear it Grin

Defo my favourite of all that has been suggested the asos one x

Oliver Bonas have some possibilities...can't post the link from my phone but looking at midi dresses in size 6, there's an orange checked one at £20 down from £65 which might suit, or one called 'daisy floral' which is down to £40 and is more of a long tea dress. Both would work with flats. Also 'patched floral print' midi at £45 - I bought this at full price not long ago (grrr) and love it (same size although alas not as tall as you). It's in a light, summery fabric.

Dresses from various stores. Not sure if they’re any good, but I had fun looking.

The White Company usually has a good selection. Bear in mind they come up big so you will need to size down.

I like it! Although it's definitely giving me Pocahontas vibes. Double up as a Halloween costume after!
