Will big pockets on jeans make my bum look smaller?

or bigger?

Am still looking for 'that' pair of jeans!

Am a size 12/14 (31) and short legs. Still have a waist but am conscious of my bum and would like to make it appear pert and my legs look longer!

NO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Avoid at all costs. Little pockets will suffice. Oasis do lovely jeans for £42. I would avoid skinny jeans for your size (generally only look good on size 10 downwards) - I would go for a good pair of Bootcut jeans in a darkish shade. DOn't buy hipster either.

HTH!

Small pockets can make your bum look bigger but its not just the size of the pockets but where they position the pockets...

If the pockets are low down then this can make your bum look big and saggy.

Go for meduim size pockets in the centre - or have a good nose at jeans pockets on others - do this discreatly!

Buy good underwear and have discreet pockets, big pockets shout 'look at my arse'

Bootcut 100%

Wear heels to help with the short legs (I too suffer with this)

Normal pockets nothing over big or decorative so you don't draw attention to your backside

But to be honest with you 12/14 and a bit of a bum is a lovely size to be, if you've got it flaunt it!!

sophierosie · 17/11/2007 21:28

Bootcut it is then!

I have been wearing bootcut for years and fancied a change in style as I just feel a bit boring in my current one! Will start looking!

Any recs? I'm currently wearing seven bootcut and they are on their last legs!

Can't wear low-rise!

Seven for all mankind are the best cut jeans there are IMO.....

Wilkie · 17/11/2007 22:23

Panacotta - agree but they are SO expensive!

Pannacotta · 18/11/2007 10:05

True Wilkie, but if you wear them most days they work out a good buy on the cost per wear theory!
Can't fit into mine since DS2 was born and am gutted! Cant justify a new pair while I am hoping to lose the baby weight
