All advice appreciated! Mid-forties, blonde, skin colour is the blue end of pale and I'm looking for a very gradual face self-tanner that I can use to look a little more...alive Grin Would truly appreciate recommendations.

Tan luxe

I love st tropez face mist

Happytot · 20/05/2021 23:03

Another st tropez face mist fan. I am very pale and it just gives a nice glow more than a tan look if that makes sense....it is very light so you could build it up if you felt it was too light.

I love the Clarins drops. You just add a few to your usual nightcream and wake up with a lovely glow. Also, they do a bigger bottle which is marketed for body but it's the same stuff only works out cheaper so now I use the "body" drops on my face Smile

here's a link to the Clarins drops

Another vote for Tan Luxe

I just use the Dove Summer Revived one below in the dark shade and it works great, very natural despite being the darker shade and me being super super pale. It's moisturising and I've never had a breakout or anything from it. I use it everywhere. It's great! After 3 days it builds up such a lovely colour I look like I've been on a summer holiday

Clarins drops, St Tropez or Isle of Paradise. The Dove one was really orange on me.

Very pale person here, 2 drops of clarins in my night cream gives a completely natural warmth the next day. As @LifeInAHamsterWheel says, the body version works out better value.

Thank you all so much, lots to explore there. Will report back!

I like the Clarins drops, too, for a natural glow on fair skin.
I didn't realise that the face and body drops were the same thing, and usually buy both!

Throughabushbackwards · 21/05/2021 11:33

I've just ordered the clarins drops to try, thank you for the recommendation. Do they leave marks or a residue on clothing/bedding? White pillowcase user here...

withlotsoflove · 21/05/2021 11:38

Bondi sands do a pure range. Lovely facial drops ( for moisturiser) in that line.

bellabride · 21/05/2021 11:40

Clarins drops don't leave any marks,Throughabushbackwards, and they don't smell: the drops are too diluted by your usual moisturiser.
There's a demonstration of their use on YouTube.

Luckingfovely · 21/05/2021 11:48

Yes to the Clarins drops, and aisle of Paradise, both excellent.

The other one I really rate is Rodial - the best tan I've ever used.

Luckingfovely · 21/05/2021 11:49

Isle! Where did that come from? Grin

SprayedWithDettol · 21/05/2021 11:50

San Tropez face must works v well for me. I’m blonde and very fair. Just don’t overdo it!

lindyloo57 · 21/05/2021 15:31

James reed mist is great

Throughabushbackwards · 21/05/2021 20:38

Thanks bella. I'll check out the video.
