Pls help. Bad hair dye done by hairdressers

It looks awful. I hate it. I have work tomorrow and I look like a badger. Please can someone tell me if I can dye over it. I believe it is bleach. I don't think it is a tint but can definitely do a strand test and then dye tonight. How long would I need to leave the strand test for? I don't feel comfortable ringing and complaining. I just want fixed hair. I've had the shittest couple of months and now this treat has backfired on me massively and I'm down £££. I wish I had just not bothered.

I think you’d need to post a photo so that we can advise. Bleach would be different to a tint. Sorry you’ve had a shitty time of it.

To dye blonde black to brown you need to go red first then a brown, otherwise you'll end up green!

Have you had highlights, or an all over colour?

Did she use foils.

PerplexPerspex · 20/05/2021 17:44

She used foils. It's not what I asked for but looks like highlights. I'll try post a pic

As others said you need a pic or no one can help you.

What colour was your hair and what colour do you want it?

SummaLuvin · 20/05/2021 17:57

generally putting more colour on it, especially if it is a box dye, will make things more difficult for future professional colour. Could you tie it up and use that root spray that is designed for covering grays in the short term while you wait to get it fixed?
