Help me look less mumsy

I'm stuck in a floaty dress-leggings-cardi-side parting time warp. Have had the same look for the past decade...it worked for me but is now quite dated and makes me look frumpy. I'm early 30s and want to look stylish/vaguely fashionable but not like I'm trying too hard to be trendy, and I don't want to dress like a teenager.
Any suggestions for "looks" that would work? What is your style like if you're my age and a mum?

I'm 34 and a mum :)

Easy items to swap in to "upgrade" outfits for a bit of current fashion might be:
Jeans: straight leg or wide leg or mom style
Other trousers: faux leather joggers or khaki trousers of some shape (cargo pants, joggers, wide leg crop)
T-shirts: boxy cut and oversized. I also like a white ribbed cotton vest with thick straps.
A big oversized white jumper with blue or black stripes
A blazer
Grey sweatshirt is always a staple.
For shoes, loafers or trainers (Veja are good, or just get some comfy sports trainers in a colour you like, I have beige Adidas Ozweego)

I can't help with work clothes as I'm still dressing down in my office (yay!)

'I've put my parting back in the middle.'

I hate middle partings on anyone over 30 tbh and think it looks really mumsy and dated, great on teenagers.
I think side partings/fringe part bangs or whatever look much better.

I'm 40 and have a middle parting and think it looks good.

OP, there's a thread called How to look more modern. I recommend reading through as it has exactly the tips and discussions you are after

It does suit some but i always think it can look alittle severe when you get alittle older.
