Dry skin bad enough but what about bright red face in the wind, help needed again

Today was a very windy day here and I knew my face was taking a beating but my God, when I got home and saw how red it was I just burst into tears - it was hideous.

Does anyone know of a barrier cream or makeup I can use to help prevent this/disguise it?

Please don´t tell me to put a bag on my head...what with this and my other thread I must sound like a real freak.

I'd be interested in any replies to this but I only get the redness when I'm at work. When I was off for 6 months on maternity leave I didn't get it, as soon as I returned its come back, I look like an alcoholic

It´s awful isn´t it... am I right in guessing its made worse by stress...? Am making the link with not being at work...

I can´t win red in the heat and red in the cold, its mad. I wouldn´t mind but its takes ages to calm down again and then I get that awful burning once I´ve gone indoors.

I don't think mine is stress bebespain, my job isn't in the least stressful. I think its the air conditioning, an indoor equivalent to you and the wind outside.

Benefit do a variety of cover-ups for this, I have get even and it's excellent! But sounds as though you have v.sensitive skin bebespain if it's hurting after you've gone indoors. My skin was wonderful when pg/maternity leave now it's gone back to (red)normal. The benefit thingy makes me feel human again although expensive...

I´ll check out the Benefit range on my next trip back home but that sounds just what I need a "cover-up"

Oh I´ll second the pregnancy skin - mine was its best ever, was glowing literally...if only it stayed that way...
