Foundation for peri menopausal woman with weird skin

I’m 40, peri menopausal and on HRT. My skin has definitely got drier with the hormonal changes, but is prone to breakouts too. For years I’ve been using Estée Lauder doublewear light as my foundation but not sure if it’s the best fit for me. I’d like something with good coverage but not cakey, and not too ‘dewy’ either. So fairly matt I suppose.

I don’t want to spend a fortune on something only to find it doesn’t suit so would like to try something that I’d be able to get a sample of first. Any recommendations?

Not really a foundation, more of heavy BB Cream, but this has worked brilliantly on my dry, menopausal skin. Cheap as chips too. Might be worth a try before shelling out ££s on top brands. Pure BB Cream
