How could you possibly have escaped them in the late 80s/early 90s? They were everywhere!

BoysAreLikeReindeer · 15/11/2007 13:17

Never heard of them.

PrettyCandles · 15/11/2007 14:31

'm not weird (sulk)

They were like short legwarmers attached to the foot of a sock.

I'm Googling - but I must be in some sort of sock Twilight Zone.

They're not just long socks. If you (or at least I) wear long socks scrunched down around your ankle, especially with loose boots, then the sock gets pulled even further down by the boot iself and gets rumpled uncomfortably under your foot.

Bootsocks (or scrunchie socks) had an elasticated zone just above the foot part to stop this happening.

Now find me some! Pleease - or I shall be forced to wear these.

OP posts:
MascaraOHara · 15/11/2007 14:45

they were fab.. also the material was rivbbed and thicker in the slouchy bit than on the foot.

I wore mine with the nubuck boots I had that I loved so so much!

PrettyCandles · 15/11/2007 14:45
