What season / weather do you find easiest to dress for?

I’d say warmer spring/ autumn or summer days that aren’t super hot. Say around 15-25 degrees.

I love being able to just throw on a dress or shorts/jeans and a t-shirt/shirt and not worry about co-ordinating loads of items together.

I find winter dressing hard as my house is so blooming freezing I always end up layered up and looking a complete mess. I also hate being really cold outside then roasting in my coat when I go inside somewhere too and having to strip off and carry loads of layers around

Summer. Definitely.

I find clothes very suffocating and claustrophobic so the less I have to wear the less stressed and anxious I feel.

I am not happy that I'm still in winter gear in may (work outdoors).

I find summer hardest (wanting to keep cool but comfortable, but without revealing too much flesh, not being able to wear strappy things etc because of needing to wear a proper bra, not wanting to bare pasty legs etc).

Rest of the year is fine. Actually, summer is mostly ok too - I live in Cumbria and it's rarely actually hot here. Grin

Summer or warm spring/autumn. I can dress for winter, (obviously, I have no choice)! But it's very samey. I'm a SAHM/PT student, so I don't have an office to dress for, so it's always jeans, wool sweater, long sleeve t-shirt underneath, leather ankle boots. I prefer warmer weather when warmth isn't my first priority! I hate being cold anyway, so thermals are my friend at the moment. Where the feck is spring?!

ParisEncore · 07/05/2021 19:22

I usually wear midi or maxi dresses / skirts in summer. I'm excited, as I've finally bought some Birkenstocks which I've wanted for a while now. I'll wear them with the skirts / dresses or with rolled up jeans on cooler days. Roll on warmer weather!

Kdubs1981 · 07/05/2021 19:25

Winter! Can't seem to do bare legs

AnyFucker · 07/05/2021 19:26

Warm summer days

JeanClaudeVanDammit · 07/05/2021 19:27

Summer is hard for me because I’m fat, pale and hairy. I like cold, crisp winter. Spring and autumn can be a pain because you layer up in the morning and then it’s boiling by lunchtime and you’re carting a load of stuff round with you. When it’s cold, you know what you’re doing.

Any season, but several weeks in. It's the changes that I struggle to navigate.

QueenPaw · 07/05/2021 19:54

Any day where it's not raining and between 7-16c ish
I like wearing jeans, boots, a top and nice jacket type outfits
Hate rain and don't like it being too hot!

Standrewsschool · 07/05/2021 23:04

Sumner - Maxi dress - my favourite piece of clothing. You can dress it up, or down, plus it hides all my worst parts.

VanillaAndOrange · 13/05/2021 17:22

Seasons where you can layer. I'm not a minimalist - what makes my style my style is the way I put things together.

Justcashnosweets · 13/05/2021 17:33

Definitely winter. Vest, jumper, jeans or leggings, boots, and a big coat. Done. Its such a chore to dress for a British summer, the weather is so changeable, especially here in Scotland!

Cabernetto · 13/05/2021 17:42

Autumn. I love wearing jeans, boots and coats but find hats, scarves and gloves a faff in winter.

Hate dressing in spring and summer because I always manage to mis-judge the weather and wear the wrong thing!

FreekStar · 13/05/2021 18:43

Autumn and winter are easier for me. I always find a lovely long winter coat makes every outfit look great. In summer it rarely feels warm enough to wear summer things and I never have the right coat or jacket- they always look awkward- and the whole not wearing tights and having to expose my less than perfect pins is stressful!

penguinpostcard · 13/05/2021 19:27

Autumn or winter. Any time I can legitimately wear thick woollen tights and boots, and cover up all the varicose and thread veins.

Go back a few years and I'd have said spring and summer!

troppibambini6 · 13/05/2021 19:47

Autumn/winter for me. Cashmere jumpers, nice jeans, chunky boots, big scarves. I love the cosy feeling. I know what suits me and looks good. I find it much harder in summer.

Littleguggi · 13/05/2021 20:09

Definitely not this season! I'm a complete mish mash at the mo!

XingMing · 13/05/2021 20:16

My life/daily routine doesn't change much. And I don't have a dressy social life, so apart from the odd wedding, I wear more or less the same things everywhere I go. I wear jeans 99 days out of 100 (but very nice well fitted ones) and a jumper or shirt depending on the weather. I'd probably wear nice jeans and a decent sweater for everything short of a big celebration meal (more or less jewellery) unless it's very warm when I'd wear a dress. Walking shoes or sandals for everyday use. Heels for posh dinners. Plus I have a collection of coats that I've acquired and inherited over 50 years that signal the occasion I am dressing for. But essentially, I wear the same clothes all the time.

tinseloatcake · 13/05/2021 20:18

I'm not a fan of footwear for the shoulder season. I'm fine with boots and sandals. I struggle in spring with a suitable shoe, especially for work

XingMing · 13/05/2021 20:22

Lest you all decide I am some slattern, I also have a nice pedi and regularly get my hair cut.......... Life is fairly casual where I am.

TableNiner · 13/05/2021 21:51

A day where I can wear jeans and sandals, top, cardi and scarf. So maybe 18-22 degrees. Spring/summer dressing just tends to be brighter, more uplifting colours. Layering for autumn winter takes more effort.

Mermaidwaves · 14/05/2021 10:28

I love spring and Autumn as I am always hot so I wear dresses and sandals and always feel comfy. Summer I hate because I'm always obsessed with trying to stay cool and most fabrics are too hot as they are synthetic. Trying to find a lovely extra plus size cotton dress isn't easy. Winter is annoying because I hate layering up due to feeling hot and claustrophobic but it looks weird having bare arms and legs in mid winter! I'm not fussed on tights and boots either as I always feel hemmed in. I do wonder if I have a sensory issue when it comes to clothes.
