That's the fashion currently. Lots of frontage in display. I have seen worse! Definitely not for me thanks.

I did think, is it supposed to look like that, don't fancy a sunburnt pom pom thanks. But I did think perhaps the model is super tall or unusually shaped

It's extremely high leg, not much coverage in the crotch area, the model has had a lot of hair removed and camel toe is a definite option.

Which knowing my luck is probably only something I’d find out once it got to the point it was non returnable.

It's just really high cut, that's all. Would suit someone very slim with no pubic hair.
I imagine if you swam breaststroke in it the person behind you in the pool (if they had goggles) would see your fanny, but I'm thinking it's not really a sports swim suit - in fact it's marketed as something to wear on holiday and to the beach.

Thong to the front seems to be the in thing. Look at the cheese-wire leotards Olympic gymnasts wear nowadays.
