I want long johns with this sort of texture. Cotton. Do they exist in this country?

No idea whatsoever but you've made me v homesick for Northern Ontario!

NotQuiteCockney · 13/11/2007 19:39

Oooh, where are you from?

(I grew up in Toronto, then lived in Montreal for ages.)

Things I miss, and also don't really like:

  • hockey jerseys
  • mullets (party in the back, business on top!)
  • red liquorice (only DH brought me back a lot from the states)
  • molasses kisses at hallowe'en
  • store-bought crappy pumpkin pies
  • hallowe'en like it was when I was a kid
  • proper Montreal bagels
  • yellow Laura Secord easter eggs

Oh, have you read Why I Hate Canadians? It rocks ...

what about these ?

iota · 13/11/2007 19:43

sorry they aren't cotton

NotQuiteCockney · 13/11/2007 19:44

I can't see a closeup, but they don't look waffle weave. (I do have some long john things already, synthetic. They're ok.)

Ideally, I'm looking for cotton - really a kind of leggings only saggier and with waffle weave.

(Oh, I realise bagels shouldn't have been in that list, as I miss them and really like them.)

how about these

wool, silk and cotton lined

Thunder Bay. Eee mullets! growing up, every boy was named Gordon and was rocking one of those, preferably while wearing a bush jacket.

I miss bilingual packaging. And milk in bags.

NotQuiteCockney · 13/11/2007 19:59

iota, those are totally not what I mean. But they're nice, and I might get some anyway - they look a lot nicer than my current (synthetic, cheap) underthings, and really really warm.

Oh, I've been to Thunder Bay. Isn't it two different communities that got lumped together? I think my mom lived there for a while.

I think Waitrose is doing milk in bags now? Someone is. Less packaging, etc. I read something, or saw something, with lots of brits looking deeply puzzled by the whole concept.

I dated a Gordon, but I never dated anyone with a mullet.
