I absolutely love Supergas - they're really comfy and go with pretty much everything and anything

pommedeterre · 26/04/2021 14:46

Anniel softs? Ballet flats are apparently back too...

cherrypiepie · 26/04/2021 14:50

I wear very boring black loafers to work with my midi skirts and dresses it tried several on to get the right fit. and Spanish sandals/palmieras at the weekends -might be a bit too chilly for them at the moment but I'm loving them!

pommedeterre · 26/04/2021 15:26

Oh yes I love palmieras too.

NoSiree · 26/04/2021 16:32

I'm wearing ballet flats again! I have some decent quality ones which don't hurt my feet. Wear them all the time with skirts and jeans.

Sorry, just re-read your original post and realised you didn't ask for trainers 🤦

So a mega stylish friend of my brothers wears Grenson Ethels... not sure where sells them... they're not on the Grenson website... but loads of other outlets tend to have them. They come in tan, white and black and look gorgeous and v cool. Here's a photo so you get the gist.

Sketchers sweetpea if you can find them

Boopear · 26/04/2021 17:52

Loafers? I wear these a lot: Gold loafers

goose1964 · 26/04/2021 20:53

I bought these in a different colour (icy pastel metallic) they're really comfortable and look much better on. My eldest son who's always joking about my age said they were granny shoes but for someone too young to be a gran. In my defence I have 5 grandchildren. www.pavers.co.uk/collections/womens/products/multi-coloured-casual-mary-jane-titan1902-135-552?variant=39256579932245

Not boots or trainers….? Hmmmm, that’s Docs and high tops out then. Ok, having had a think, I do also wear brogues with dresses, I have numerous different colours. And pointy toe flats (don’t really like ballet pumps).

SuperMonkeys · 26/04/2021 22:51

Palmairas are my go to

RealisticSketch · 26/04/2021 23:15

If you think of them as a high top pixie shoe... are they un-boot enough? www.moshulu.co.uk/product/pipistrelle-2-1611#?variant=22

happyjack12 · 27/04/2021 10:49

thanks everyone! lots of ideas to try , the grensons are pretty cool.
( trying to get away from boots...but loving those moshulu ones...)

Yeah, that was clutching at straws really for a non boot option. Thought I would get shot down in flames, you're very kind 😆

happyjack12 · 27/04/2021 11:07

pommedeterre where do you buy the Anniels please? ( I'm in England)

OP posts:
pommedeterre · 27/04/2021 14:32

annielshop.com

I haven't ordered any since Brexit happened, before that it was fine. There is a charge for returns. My normal 40 fit fine so have always assumed true to size.

pommedeterre · 27/04/2021 14:32

I used to buy them when I lived in Italy and then ordered online when I moved back to UK.

Alsohuman · 27/04/2021 14:40

I love a flat lace up. I have a white pair that look dressier than trainers and go with everything.

aquashiv · 08/05/2021 12:52

Fitflops sandals.
I also have hotter flats always need arch supports otherwise I get planter fascitas

thedevilinablackdress · 08/05/2021 17:45

I have bought a bunch of black flat shoes from M&S recently - ie pointed toe loafers etc.

But my all time favourites would have to be doc martens 1461. It comes in mono if you need all black or all white.

mooonstone · 08/05/2021 17:48

They’re smart enough that I can get away with them at work, which has a formal dress code
