Chinos that fit over thighs and aren't made of tissue paper

Can anyone help with finding chinos?
I didn't think I was that bulky but finding some that fit my muscly thighs without being far too big in the waist is a real challenge. I'm between a size 12 and 14, depending on brand.
Cost isn't really an issue.
I tried some with stretch in M&S and the material was so thin you could practically see I needed my fanjo waxing through them Confused
Happy to pay for good quality, I want them to last.
Am I asking the impossible?

Can you get Brax in the UK? The quality of material is usually good (not always) and they are normally 97% cotton, 3% stretch.

Gap chinos are brilliant quality. Different types of fit too; they have a curve range, skinny leg, wide leg etc. I wear them for work in summer and am required to wear smart dress. They look totally acceptable with good accessories and a smart top/jacket but can be dressed down also.

Gap, Boden, Baukjen are all good. Plus J Crew and everlane

I like the Hush girlfriend chinos

You may want to size down 1 size

Cut for women with hips and thighs... yet they hang, not sit

I like them and wear them quite loose in my regular size (they give a bit when you start wearing them, so should be a bit fitted on first wear)

These are all brilliant suggestions, thank you all.
I knew the Mumsnet hive mind would come up trump's.
Off to Google.

I would size up , I'm normally a 10 and got 12 for a smooth comfy fit . They are really fab !

The next ones I have from last year are really good quality, assume they are the same this year. Downsize though

Miscarriage39 · 22/04/2021 08:30

I got some nice quality ones from Next last year. I was surprised just how nice they were, and not expensive at all. Do size down though. They come up enormous!
