heavy eyelids

Ive just seen some pics of myself from today and my eyelids, which I always knew where heavy, look awful. One side is particularly droopy but both make me look very tired.
Is there anything I can do? I'd prefer non surgical but would bite the bullet if that was the only option.

Has anyone managed to improve their eye appearance through product alone?

@Delatron

Snorting at nutface!

With the Nuface are people getting results from using it on the forehead to lift the brow or are you actually using it on upper eyes? Are you using the big balls 🤣 or the smaller attachment?

I have the Nuface Mini (so only have the big balls!) and use it on temples and forehead. I don't think you're supposed to use it on upper eyes.

Thanks @Spodge I do find using it on the forehead gives a nice lift but upper eyes are still a bit saggy.

Just another perspective - I have fairly hooded lids and love them.

I think they are really lovely on other people too. For Kelly McDonald (Line of Duty atm) has them, I know she is beautiful, but honestly I really like hooded lids.

I just wish I felt the same way about my slight jowliness (on one side of my face only).

That is a good perspective @Ohchristmastreeohchristmastree and I do think we often become fixated on things that are actually fine. I agree Kelly McDonald is beautiful.

If it's just one eyelid cut down on carbs, keep really hydrated and add a bit of salt to your diet if you don't eat any already. You could be low on electrolytes.

Um, you spelled the name of the product incorrectly

Well that explains a lot 😂 should have put my reading glasses on!

Thanks so much everyone - done really helpful suggestions to try. And will carefully check spellings before googling....

I've got hooded kids and have been following that woman on YT for years. She does a great job explaining and demonstrating techniques to help with hooded lids. Saying that I've been doing my eye makeup that way since I was in high school as I just kind of figured out for myself what worked.

Regarding cutting out the carbs I definitely agree with this. I follow a keto diet and within 2 weeks could really notice that my eyelids were far less puffy - so yes this really works but you'll obviously have to keep cutting them out. It's not a fix for hooded eyes though. Just an improvement.

I've been looking into eyelid lifts (can't remember the actual name of the procedure) and they do make a good improvement but don't get rid of hooded lids either. It's just a minor change but looks good. The surgeon I think I'll go with charges £2500 and he specialises in eyes. I feel like if I get it done while I'm still in my early 40's I will hopefully avoid the problem I see with older women in their late 50's and up whose lids are so droopy they start to hand over their lashes 🙈
