OMG company dinner on Thursday - smart trousers and what top?

Help!

I have just started working for a company and their annual "dinner" is on Thursday. I tried on everything last night, and it's a disaster....

The code is smart/casual. So all the blokes go casual and the women tend to tart up. I am senior management, so would like to aim for the classy, not too showy and preferably not black thing.

Size 10, 5ft 3.

Can anybody suggest something that I can order in time?

I think trousers is boring, yes, but safe, definitely....

wondering about patterns being overwhelming for short arse like me? And keen to show less rather than more, although not buttoned up to neck. Happy for V neck, but (post baby) not in as great shape as I was... ah, hem.
