Just that! I'm finding the 50 spfs are just not working for my skin - too heavy I think.

It's not the spf50 that makes those products heavy, it's other ingredients.

It is spring now and lots of sunshine (most of the time) and spf30 won't be enough in my opinion. Especially since you - like everyone else - are not applying enough to get the full 30 protection and in reality have about 15.

So 50 all the way. Just get a lighter, thinner one.

MarshmallowPink · 16/04/2021 08:38

Do you know of one? I've tried so many and they're all the same :-(

I apply neutrogene’s face shield (spf 110) in the day. My routine is double cleanse, pat dry, vitamin c serum, let dry, moisturise, let dry, spf, then when dry cc cream and then make up. Seems to work with minimal problems.

QuimReaper · 16/04/2021 08:44

I've heard the difference between SPF30 and SPF50 is tiny in reality so I'd say it would be sufficient. However, I use La Roche Posay Anthelios SPF50 every single day all year round and it's light as a feather - have you tried it?

oohmama · 16/04/2021 08:44

Which ones have you tried?

MarshmallowPink · 16/04/2021 08:45

I've tried two types of heliocare and Nivea (which I reacted terribly to)

@QuimReaper haven't tried la Roche posay but I love their sensitive stuff so that's a great shout

@QuimReaper do you use the fluid or the cream?

OP posts:
inisfree · 16/04/2021 08:47

Ultra sun face fluid is light textured

Delphigirl · 16/04/2021 08:49

@QuimReaper I totally agree La Roche Posay is the best spf - incredibly light, sinks straight in and doesn’t give me zits. A little goes a long way too 👍

mommybunny · 16/04/2021 08:52

I use LRP Shaka fluid in 50. Works great.

QuimReaper · 16/04/2021 08:54

I use the ultra-light invisible fluid! I've also converted my mum, sister and MIL Grin

(Well, definitely my mum as she asked for more when hers ran out. The other two got some as a gift whether they liked it or not... Grin)

QuimReaper · 16/04/2021 08:55

@mommybunny Yes, I think that's the same stuff - they briefly changed it to 'Shaka fluid' but seem to have changed back now, no idea what it was all about.

Delphigirl · 16/04/2021 09:27

@QuimReaper I have given it to my sister and 23 yo daughter (never to young to start...)! I missed the Shaka palaver though it seems 🤣

MarshmallowPink · 16/04/2021 10:24

Well, I've invested in it! Fingers crossed it does the trick. Thanks for the recc

MarshmallowPink · 16/04/2021 14:58
