What shoes to wear in spring ? Still too cold for sandals

It’s at that funny time of year where it’s still cold enough not to wear sandals but now we are starting to get out and socialize I’d like to look a little smarter.
Can I have ideas of footwear to wear with smart casual outfits ?
I’ve practically worn trainers the whole lockdown with workout leggings, and in winter jeans with chunky boots.

I’d ideally like neutral flats or dressy trainers.

Looking to pair with either mom jeans and tucked tee or skinny jeans and cord jacket / denim jacket / leather biker and tucked tee etc.

I’m in Scotland , so not warm enough for anything open toe yet.

The only thing I can recommend is that you use spf on your ankle area until sandal time arrives. I had fabulous trainer-sock tan lines all last year which made sandal wearing awkward for me.

I’ve got slip on checker board vans , may buy plain black or white to go with more , good shout.

Ha ha yes I’ve had this happen before , first hot day I wore jeans and strappy gladiator type sandals and had gladiator tan for rest of the summer. Patchwork feet

I’m sure I saw somewhere that ballet pumps were coming back.

Loafers.

I'm still wearing knee-high leather boots. Still so very cold (and I'm just outside London!).

I've got some white puma trainers that I keep for smarter occasions so they look fresh.
Not worn them yet, but have some nude loafers that I think will work with a lot of outfits.
