If you’re late 20s (or similar age) what trainers do you wear?

Just that really, I feel a bit lost looking for trainers! I know age shouldn’t matter but I’m noticing styles my 14yo niece and all her friends wear which puts me off a bit, similarly other styles are what my mum wears and not sure I’m ready to have matching things just yet.

Any recommendations for something that’s not considered ‘mumsy’ but also won’t make me look like I’m trying to be down with the kids

What do you want them for ?
I have some Superga, Converse and Puma.

Just for everyday wear with jeans etc

They are what I wear with jeans & dresses. Neutral coloured in white or cream. The pumas are brightly coloured so less versatile. I could be the uncoolest person in the world of course

I just bought a cream pair from boohoo
I'm 29 and worried I look like I'm trying to be younger than I am
But I needed a natural pair to wear with things...
They were cheap so deffo more fashion trainers than running ones or anything!

I have some white Adidas Gazelles and black Converse.

The Converse are the low style with black laces. The contrast laces definitely too teenagery for me! H&M also had some great white trainers last year.

OP I'm early 30s and have two pairs of Adidas gazelles, white and pale pink suede, Adidas superstars and a pair of supergas too.

I'm 56 and wear Adidas superstars!
Cream, rather than white though and they fit me perfectly

I'm early 30s and Wear vans, air force 1s and high top converse. For more casual/Park I wear Nike reacts.

Everyone should indeed wear what they like. I do think that if you find yourself at 29 wearing the same clothes as a 15-year old it looks as if you haven't worked out your own style or personality and are still driven by the whims of fashion. I think the same applies to boys/men too. I used to find it a bit sad seeing 30-something men dressing just like my 14-year old nephew.

I have a yellow pair of Converse hi-tops. I've been wearing Converse hi-tops on and off since I was 12.

I'm 53 and have pink vans, white Air Force 1s, cream Adidas Stan smith's, black New Balance, Nike knitted ones, several converse..... I work with teenagers and they haven't commented negatively about any of them - and they would if they thought they looked crap!

I have black converse and white converse, both high tops, and recently got some Reebok Club c85s

I've got Reebok classics, various adidas including gazelles and superstars, converse, and new balance. I'm 34
