Like the sound of the boots. I'd go for the stripey dress unless it's in a very fancy venue. Is it going to be somewhere that lots of the women have gone for the black trousers and sparkly top combo - in which case you would stand out in the dress!

tis at my friends, they are having a marquee, catered and a band .. i always have a panic that i will look frumpy, i don;t keep up with all the latest trends
