Casual blazer/jeans outfit for a first date?

Hi ladies, am hoping for some advice on an outfit for a casual first date type thing in a couple of weeks- I’ve put on a lot of weight over lockdown due to struggling quite badly with mental health which means that none of my clothes fit me any more and I’m feeling very self conscious about myself. I think I’d like to wear jeans and a (casual) blazer with trainers but really struggling to find anything I like online- blazers I’ve found seem to be either cheap shiny polyester or they look like half of a work suit- I was thinking something softer like jersey or cotton maybe? I also need some slimming jeans but not even sure where to start with not being able to go and try things on. Can anyone advise? I’m 40, size 14 pear shape with a fairly significant tummy Sad and 5’5 with quite long dark hair. Budget is fairly flexible (although in an ideal world don’t want to spend crazy amounts as hoping to lose this weight quite soon!)

Thanks in advance

Next have quite a few. I find if you go for ones with ruched sleeves they look more casual. You could get a colored blazer and wear with black jeans and tshirt. Or a black blazer with blue jeans.

How about these:

Thanks both! @chloechloe I really like that second next one so have ordered one to try on at home

Does anyone have any thoughts on slimming jeans for someone of my size/shape? If possible also something that would elongate my legs which are quite short even though I’m average height overall

I think a blazer will look a bit formal. I’m a similar size and I would look for a more casual jacket so a denim style in a different colour or maybe a shacket. As for jeans I have a pair of straight leg Sheri Nydj that I like. M and S has a good selection of jeans as well.
