wavy hair? how?

I have naturally wavy hair but when its left natural it goes very fuzzy and looks like I've been dragged though a hedge backwards.

So in order to look tidy I straighten my hair every day.

However, I would like to have it wavy but in a sleek, controlled wavy style, sort of straight on top but going wavy about half way down....how do I achieve this?

snap! my hair is exaclty the same...

What to do is straighten it as normal then use curling tongs loosly (or your ghd's if you have mastered how to create curls with them).

I still use my 15 year old tongs to create just such a look!

I remember in the late eighties when big hair was in I still straightened it first (babyliss ones) before putting in my carmen rollers.

Does you hair go curly too? i used to fox work colleagues when my hair was v. long and when Pretty woman came out (1990?) by going to work one day with really curly hair (cue have you had a perm?) and then dead straight the next!

There is a video of waves on the Ghd website. I havn't done a whole head - just coupe of strips and it is really v v v easy to do with Ghds

...sorry back to teh point...

...I struggled with tongs
..I tested straightners and worked fab fab fab..

...will find a link...

They seem to have taken the vids off the ghd website - but the instructions are still there.

If you go to Youtube and enter "Didacticial GHD" as a search term you come up with the official ghd demos - I am sure it will be there somewhere. There are also lots of home vids of people doing curls with ghds on Youtube.

Thanks! I'll have a look when my hair is dry...

I have had it permed and to be honest it looked quite nice but I don't want it to be "that" curly anymore...just loose waves. I tried with my Morphy Richard straightners the other day but I burnt my hand and just couldn't work out how to do it!

I know I need to invest in some GHDs.
