Following the nail varnish thread, I've decided I NEED a really dark blue silk top.

What do you think of this?

Has naybody seen it in real life? Or if it's vile, does anybody have any other suggestions?

the black silk dressing gowns are on sale in M&S at the moment (they have cream, green and black) at something like £40. Will find for you.

ahundredtimes · 09/11/2007 21:52

I think Mrs Badger should be paid for her services. I don't know how she keeps this up.

janeite · 09/11/2007 21:53

That second black one is gorgeous. Think you might have nearly got it with that one. Paris will be delighted to hear of your good work!

Yumm, could do with a cocktail. Do I get an umbrella in mine?

foxinsocks · 09/11/2007 21:54

motherinferior wants a drink but she's stuck in Hotel California.

janeite · 09/11/2007 21:55

Why only 2 glasses? Where's mine?

You're doing a grand job here both of you. Mrs Badger will be proud.

and she says 32E is NOT too big

kindersurprise · 09/11/2007 21:57

Do you have a Zara near you? They do a lot of glam tops.

ahundredtimes · 09/11/2007 21:57

Hmmm. I'm not falling for the pep talk. You are very demanding and now you're being indecisive about fabrics.

janeite · 09/11/2007 22:02

100times - Lol. Thanks ever so much for your help. I really do like that 2nd black Monsoon one. And you've encouraged me to re-visit LK Bennet and Jigsaw. Your help is very much appreciated.

Kinder- will also look in Zara, although "glam" isn't quite what I want; I want something I can "dress down" a bit I think if that makes sense.

Fox - 32E is TOO TOO big - and a nightmare to buy shirts for!

Enjoy your drinks ladies - thanks ever so much again.

phew, what a journey that thread was.

i liked the black silk monsoon one. theres another black silk one on monsoon too, not the petite bit with a cowl neck - theres a link earlier? i liked that. not sure about arms tho (which is wank really as thyere prob fine)

om abit wowover the E cup breastage. my puny likkle A (and AA in some bras) cups are a bit bothersome, in that my tummy sticks out furtehr than they do. so yes, theyre lighter to carry about, but theres downsides to everything, eh?

francagoestohollywood · 09/11/2007 23:01

. I'd wear those wide legged trousers with a tight v neck posh cashemire jumper...
runs

BeautifulBoysGalore · 09/11/2007 23:48

then you have a tighter midsection than i, franca
[makes note to do some exercise tomorrow, tho to be fair, i did digging and tree planting and tennis playing today. and im rubbish at tennis so had to run a lot]

janeite · 10/11/2007 13:46

That sounds nice too Franca. But not TOO tight, obviously! I'm on the quest for a really soft grey, v neck cashmere jumper actually - might start another long, meandering thread!

lol at right side of rational

MrsBadger · 10/11/2007 16:35

am I too late?

Cashmere (in descending price order)
Brora
Land's End
Uniqlo
Tesco

janeite · 10/11/2007 17:02

I like that Next top shape-wise very much, Mrs Badger. Might try it on in brown. Still have my heart set on midnight blue though - which is very weird as I haven't worn blue since sixth form.

The cashmere all looks promising. I've found this one too -
