Wot to wear on my sausages/ tree trunks on glam night out

I will be wearing a black sequinned T-shirt dress/top which comes to halfway down my thighs and black short leather jacket. Hsve bought some patent metallic shoes today with 2 bar straps. Wot to wear on legs? I know what would suit me better and that is my skinny fit bootleg black jeans, as I have slimmish thighs (relative to rest of me) but chunky ankles. Is there any way possible on God's earth I could get away with the opaquest black tights with the most amount of lycra in the universe? Or what else?

I'm tall (5'9) size 14-16 and fairly in proportion all over. and 39

I fear short dress might be tooo short. I would err on the side of caution and go for the skinnys. Sounds like you rock, though, good on you!! (your size sounds scarily like mine, by the way, where d'you get your clothes from?)

Just read your profile moomin, and note with interest you never have to shave your legs. I don't either. Were we separated at birth??

I dunno about 'rocking' though! Just trying to keep up with some of my younger friends who are all gorgeous glam and tres fashionable . However, this has led to advantage with my new job (my young friends are from old job) - my new colleagues think that short trews worn with dolly shoes and enormous pashmina cardies are the very height of fashion, so in relation to them I really do rock

If we were separated at birth, I vote we track down our birth mother and slap her for giving us thick ankles

I reckon skinny skinnys, if you can carry it off and it sounds like you can, go for it.

And alas, I fear we are not sisters separated, for I am slim of ankle. In fact its the slimmest part of me, that and my bony wrists. They make me look slimmer, even when I could do with losing half a stone around my middle. Enjoy your night out!

I spose I should be grateful that my thighs are slimmish. Although it looks like I've got my legs on upside down! Will have a butch at some black skinnies. Think will get some (x)long ones to minimise possible attention to fat ankles but show off lurvely new shoes. I put them across from my side of the bed last night so I could admire them before I feel asleep and then as soon as I woke up
