How much lip filler for top lip? *pic included*

Hi all,

I feel insecure about the size of my top lip compared to my bottom lip and I'd like to enhance it slightly to make them a bit more even. Would 0.5ml be enough to balance them out? Or 1ml? TIA.

I'd recommend speaking with the person your going to and looking at pictures of their work to decide the best amount. I'd always say to have less as it's easier to have more added at a later time than to face too much out in initially and it be too much.

Jetsthebestgladiator · 29/03/2021 23:57

I’d go for .5ml
If I’m right your top lip should be around 2/3 of the size of your bottom lip anyway

StrugglingToBeStylish · 30/03/2021 00:01

Your top lip is naturally supposed to be thinner than the bottom one, and making both the same size is the biggest giveaway! So whatever you do, try and avoid that one...

Can’t advise you on volume though...

Should be? Who says?

OP ask your practitioner.

Changemaname1 · 30/03/2021 00:04

I think I have 1ml and it looks natural but I’d imagine it’s different depending on everyone lip shape etc to begin with . Just see what they say

queenofthenorthwest · 30/03/2021 00:06

See what your lip filler says.

She might do 0.75.

Either way what result do you want? A good one will not overfill

Sittinonthesand · 30/03/2021 00:06

Your lips look completely normal! I have never in my life noticed or judged a person by the thickness of their top lip and I’m sure most sane people don’t either.

blisstwins · 30/03/2021 00:51

I have .5 between my upper and lower me it is very subtle. Tell your practitioner you want a natural result and let them judge. Your lips look beautiful as is, but filler has been a real delight. Such a simple simple reversible thing and I no longer feel self conscious.

Thebestposter · 30/03/2021 00:58

Your lips look lovely. Matching will look weird

stevalnamechanger · 30/03/2021 01:11

I think you'd benefit more from Botox to drop your top lip called a lip flip :)

BehindMyEyes · 30/03/2021 02:33

Your lips are perfect as they are . Mine are similar and I once asked my Botox doctor what he thought about lip fillers and he said No way !

Jetsthebestgladiator · 30/03/2021 03:21

@FlibbertyGiblets

Research told me that. It is the Golden Ratio. Maths. OP doesn’t need to go with that but it’s not often people want a bigger top lip than bottom so I would imagine 0.5 will be enough. If it is juvederm I think you actually get 0.6 in the syringe. I personally get .5 over both. The OP asked for our advice.

Laburnam · 30/03/2021 08:22

Beautiful lips

TheMarzipanDildo · 30/03/2021 08:24

Honestly I think don’t do it. You have great lips (I am jealous!)

requitalissima · 30/03/2021 08:53

Please do not touch your lips with fillers! You have a sensationally beautiful mouth, leave it be, leave it be, leave it beeeeeee... Grin

AlwaysColdHands · 30/03/2021 09:01

You don’t need to do anything to your lips. They are lovely as they are, honestly.
Save your money and save yourself from looking like a million other young women with such false looking facial features.

Fargonauts · 30/03/2021 09:51

Are those your natural lips or have you already had filler in your bottom lip ? Go for minimum first, watch married at first sight Australia to see how horrific the girls with their lips done look !

MoltonSilver · 30/03/2021 09:55

Your lips are beautiful. Go with the minimum amount.

Jetsthebestgladiator · 30/03/2021 12:04

I also don’t think you need it. But good luck to you if you do. Personal choice!

Lol, I always chuckle when this 'fact' is trotted out. Someone really should've informed my entirely natural top lip before it grew to the same size as my bottom lip.
HermioneMakepeace · 30/03/2021 12:26

Why do people come on and say “Don’t do it?”. Would you barge onto a TTC thread and say the same to them? It’s like people seeking any form of plastic surgery are fair game. It pisses me off.

Jetsthebestgladiator · 30/03/2021 12:47

@Blondiney There’s nothing wrong with not having mathematically ‘pleasing’ proportions. I don’t. In any way. And our differences are what makes us interesting. But it’s like everything else, there are shapes and ratios which are considered ideal. Hourglass figures. Big eyes. Small nose. If you get your eyebrows shaped or have a specific hair parting or try to make your waist look smaller then it’s the same idea.

murmurlade · 30/03/2021 15:38

I'm not saying 'don't do it' as that's not what you asked... but I would kill to have your lips! You must look fab in all lip colours! Protect them at all costs! 😄

DailyCandy · 30/03/2021 15:57

You feel insecure about a totally normal top lip.

My guess is you will feel more insecure about a wonky puffed up top lip.
Don't do it.

Because the OP has a beautiful mouth already, and it needs no enhancement.

The analogy with TTC is insulting.
