Any hairdressers / colourists - Best semi-permanent for fragile hair?

Could any hairdressers or colourists help me find a gentle semi permanent colour? My hair is very very delicate, and it can't cope with off the shelf semi-permanents. It breaks / falls out and is very fine to begin with. I have tried Clairol Natural instincts before and it was too harsh.

My hairdresser had said that the stuff he uses is really gentle, and referred to it as a 'gloss'. With lockdown I now have a good 4 inches of white roots, and it is really getting me down. With no sign of hairdressers opening any time soon, I am planning to do it myself. I have messaged my hairdresser to see if he would sell me some colour, but I don't think he is checking messages.

I have had a look at the Sally beauty site, but I don't really know where to start in choosing a colour.

So far I think the following might be suitable:
L'Oreal Professional Dia Light - 7 Blonde
Wella Professionals Color Touch - 7/0 medium blonde
Matrix Color Sync - 7m

The alternative is to try the Josh Wood shade shot.

Has anyone any experience in using these? I would really appreciate your advice.

I had a Josh Wood gloss ( it was a 3 for 2 offer on some products) but after it sat on top of my bedroom for months and I read the somewhat mixed reviews , I put it in a Charity Shop bag ( sealed)

It doesn't appear to cover greys well, more for toning .

The worry with your hair being so fragile is if you apply something to the new growth and your hair snaps , you'll be left with 4" of hair .

Have you seen the Colour Wow powders ?

Aren't hairdressers opening on 12th April if your in uk. Could you not just use l'oreal magic retouch till then. If your hair is fragile I'd be wary of doing it yourself.

Thanks for that. I'm in NI and I don't think hairdressers are opening here any time soon Sad
