DD has EXTRA wide cheese triangle feet and I can't fins school shoeto fit. Help!

DD is 13, the age when they get very fussy about what the will and won't wear.

She needs new school shoes urgently. She's been wearing non uniform flip flop type slip-ons for the last half term, but the deteriorating weather means that she needs regulation type shoes now.

To complicate matters she has super wide feet, measuring an H+ fitting but has super narrow heels. I'm buggered if I can find a pair that A) Fits, and B)She will actually wear.

Suggestions gratefully received.

I can't help with pointing to a place to get them, but you need to look for laceups (eek) since they can be tightened to fit her heels to prevent slipping and blisters.

FIND, obviously not FINS, although her feet do resemble flippers!

Thanks for your quick reply but I suspect she'd rather hack her feet off with a blunt knife than wear the dreaded lace-ups!

I think Van Dal do adult shoes in various width fittings, but whether (a) you arewilling to pay that much, and (b) she is willing to wear 'mature' styles...?

DoctorAficionadoDelArse · 08/11/2007 19:48

Hmm, how much are we talking? You do know she'll have out grown them in 2 or 3 months!

And just how mature? She's so damn picky.

Don't start-rite and Clarks have some fairly trendy styles ?

DoctorAficionadoDelArse · 08/11/2007 19:53

Clarks only go up to a G and her start-rites
are too tight although they were fitted for her.

Ok. So I've found one Clarks shoe online that comes in an H fitting (still narrower than her size) but she says she'll try them even though they're disgusting!

All we have to do now is find a store that stocks them as most don't routinely have them in.
