Blusher recommendations not powder

I’m late 40’s and haven’t used powder blusher for some time as it didn’t seem to flatter my skin but can’t find an alternative I’m happy with.

I’ve tried a liquid Daniel sandler that was recommended but it doesn’t give me enough of a blush and is very watery.

I used to buy a bourgeois whipped mousse blush but it was discontinued years ago.

Can anyone recommend, I don’t really mind the price if it does the job

Stila here too - recommended to me by a MUA, and have been using ever since.

Clinique chubby stick. Roly poly rosy is the nicest shade. It is fool proof.

I also like the glossier ones.

I prefer cream blusher to powder and have recently discovered Glossier cloud paint. I now have 5 of them - all diff shades. You just need a tiny bit but can add more. I apply with my fingers and find it's very natural.

If you think you might like to try their stuff, I have a 'refer a friend' code

You get 10% off your first order. (Thanks to anyone if you use it! )

I can also recommend their boybrow for taming brows. Very easy to use and doesn't make tour eyebrows go rock hard!!

Nars multiple

@ChardonnaysPetDragon

I came to say Maybeline dream blush but I see it’s discontinued, which borders on the criminal.
@ChardonnaysPetDragon there is a new Maybelline cream blush to replace it, I ordered it today, will report back if any good.
HaHaVeryBunny · 24/03/2021 13:38

*Ahh sorry it's NYX that have a new cream blush not Maybelline, cheap too so not a huge upset if it gets shoved into the overflowing makeup drawer of mistakes!

ChardonnaysPetDragon · 24/03/2021 13:41

Please do!

NARS liquid blush is fab. I’m a convert after years of powder blush.

Trinny lip to cheek. Also, there are a few people selling a no7 palette on ebay called Kiss & Cheek, don't know if it was a free gift. I got one for a couple of quid recently (sealed in the box).

Max Factor Miracle touch
Glossier cloud paint
Benetint liquid blush
Daniel Sandler watercolour liquid blush

All my favourites.

Buts · 24/03/2021 19:00

Thanks for all your suggestions I will probably try them all 😂- I am in the process of converting/updating my make up from Estée Lauder doublewear with pressed powder and powder blush to a more natural but good coverage glowy rather than matt look so need to put a new post on for primer and new foundation

Another vote for Glossier Cloud Paint

tofuschnitzel · 24/03/2021 19:15

Have you tried using lipstick? It gives a lovely finish, and it helps me use up lipsticks that are not quite right to wear on my lips. The Bourjois Velvet Matte lipsticks are wonderful as blusher.

tofuschnitzel · 24/03/2021 19:16

If you want something strong, I wouldn't recommend Benetint. I have pale skin and I can hardly see it when I put it on.

AgnesNaismith · 24/03/2021 19:18

Nars - orgasm

icelollycraving · 24/03/2021 19:19

I love Stila convertible colour. I wear Lillium which is great on my fair pinky skin. I have a few shades but that’s my favourite.

Rina66 · 24/03/2021 19:31

Elf do a lovely stick one in Peony that I watched Lisa Snowdon use on Instagram - I've never found it to buy though! I bought the Guava colour, it's great for the money.

Revolution have just brought out a small range of liquid blush (but far less liquid than the daniel sandler ones). I have the 'you made me at flushed which is a gorgeous shade of dark rose pink. Cheap too.
