Can anyone help me out with a Wrap Dress?

I saw one in M&S weeks ago, it was like a giraffe print, long sleeves, knee-length and was about £30. Went in today and they have gone! I need a wrap dress for a couple of nights out coming up very soon. Can anyone let me know if they have bought one on the high street recently that they love?

I know it's not giraffe printed but I helped myself to this baby recently and it's lovely and sleek.

Oh nangnangnan, that's gorgeous! And such a great prize! Does it fit well? The colour is not perfect for me, but I'm really tempted!

You need to be a bit careful about sizes - they're quite small so mine needs a black cami underneath it or it would be indecent. Apart from that it hangs beautifully and has a discreet sheen.

PPB - are Boden quite accurate for sizing? Not keen on the patterned ones but the black ones looks promising.
MMJ - That IS the style of dress from M&S but the print that I saw was brown/cream, not black and white.
NNN - Veeery nice, how sheeny is it? I mean, if I were meeting some old colleagues for an after work drink at a trendy (o god) bar, would it look a bit OTT? Also, for a 14, would you wear a 16?
Thanks All!

It's quite sheeny but not like you're wearing your nighty out. I think I should have got a size up from what I usually wear so it's not a bad idea to get the 16 I think. Oh, and make sure you have seamless underwear - it's not forgiving of lines!

I should also mention that net a porter have a tenner delivery charge so it's not quite as much of a bargain as it first looks.

I haven't had to return anything yet. Their sizing is spot on

I've just bought a bright (almost 80s styleee) patterned mock wrap in Monsoon, am 4 months pregnant, wobby all over but it's really flattering. www.monsoon.co.uk/invt/25208725

Mum07 · 08/11/2007 20:12

there's a black and white one too www.monsoon.co.uk/invt/15226903

Phase 8 have really nice wrap dresses, and I think they have one in their mini-sale at the moment.

missbumpy · 09/11/2007 14:32

Oh I'm in love with Nang's net a porter dress but I don't think they've got my size. Sizes look a bit confusing but would i be right in thinking a 36 is a size 8?

brimfull · 09/11/2007 16:40

I saw a giraffe-like print one in phase eight yesterday.
I bought a nice one in h&m .

Principles had some lovely ones in. I bought one last year in the same fabric and adore it but this year's styling is even nicer, more feminine. Not sure if they're still doing them though, website is ffull of more eveningy stuff now.
