I'm early 50s, and thanks to the wonderful menopause have started to suffer with frequent bloating. This means that by the end of a day in work clothes, I'm desperate to change into something more comfort
able! To save me many fruitless hours of searching, has anyone out there found some plain black trousers which would reduce my suffering? I know they're out there! Thanks in advance...

M&S Mia slim cotton with the elasticated waist - geometric print and there are some plain ones. Really comfy and smart too!

When I was early on pregnant I got some elasticated linens for work I think they was maternity ones but they were amazing and so comfortable. They was still my usual size 10 but just had a bit of give in them. I wore them after pregnancy aswell they were the best thing ever lol

I found some in Sainsbury's, new line. Bought some for work to allow for my lockdown bulge! About £12 I think. Believe they did variety of styles - tapered/bootleg/ wide etc. Also in navy.

I was just going to say that you don't have to accept the bloating. Even with elasticated waists, it is painful and uncomfortable. Unfortunately for me, it meant no pasta, no bread, no rice and no bread of any type, ever. I never bloat anymore.

Winser London do lovely quality ones and they stand up to a lot of punishment! They are £££ but I've picked some up for £30 on ebay a couple of times in the past

I got a pair from Ulla Popken. Black, stretchy fabric so very comfy, straight cut leg ansmd with an elasticated. I think they pass for smart quite well.
