I'm having a blunt cut. My hair is bra strap length but has gone really straggly at the ends. It needs at least an inch off.
Might have a few highlights.
And a hair mask.

Highlights and a few inches off the back and some layers put back in

pinkearedcow · 19/03/2021 13:06

Had a haircut today. Three inches off (it had got far too long). I feel so much better! If only there was somewhere to take my new haircut.

Zancah · 19/03/2021 13:15

Lopping it all off. It's just so long and shit at the moment.
I have cut it at home (not myself- I had help) but only straight across, to lose some length, as I didn't want to fudge it up too much.
I'm ready to take the plunge on it being shorter than it ever has been, April can't come soon enough.

JMAngel1 · 19/03/2021 14:19

Well I hacked 4 inches off the bottom myself this week but I desperately need some warm toned lowlights - my highlights just look like one big chunk of gold yellow. I need to get some darker rose gold/copper pieces in there to break them up. Plus my features are washed out with all the light hair.

Crispy ends removed (not been cut since August) and my fringe reinstated. Sick of the sight of my fivehead.

AuntieMarys · 19/03/2021 14:30

At least 3 inches off. Colour. Olaplex.

ineedaholidayandwine · 19/03/2021 14:31

Roots done (bleach) a toner, a trim

Notanotherhun · 19/03/2021 16:13

@PickAChew

Crispy ends removed (not been cut since August) and my fringe reinstated. Sick of the sight of my fivehead.
Do it yourself? I cut my own fringe and it was really easy. I also used thinning scissors to go through the ends and take off some of the straggly bits.
PickAChew · 19/03/2021 16:26

I've cut my fringe before. I have very thick hair and completely lack the coordination to deal with it myself, in the mirror - I end up very stressed and the results end up very lumpy because it's a lot of hair and, even with my sharp hairdressing scissors, takes a lot of cuts, which turn out to be a lot of chances to lose a finger :o

After my August cut, I vowed to leave it alone.

I had MAJOR highlights in December, so for colour at my appointment next month I will just get a root tint (to lighten my dark natural colour to blend in with my blonde. My current roots are not ok!)

I’ll get a cut and blow dry, but won’t do anything major with the cut.

Really thinking of getting a keratin smoothing treatment at some point soon too.

cerseii · 19/03/2021 16:32

Oh and a toner of course, to refresh my current highlights

PickAChew · 19/03/2021 16:33

Don't know if you saw Sarah Kendall on Taskmaster last night? That sort of thick hair!

Fluffycloudland77 · 19/03/2021 16:36

I’m having a good cut and paying for a mask too. When I told dh I’d be having a mask he was 😲.

It’s an extra £10.

lazylinguist · 19/03/2021 16:36

I haven't had mine cut since the first lockdown, when I had it cut from shoulder length to a short bob and had highlights. So now it's back to shoulder length. I'm thinking of going pixie. Shock And maybe a full dye in darker than my natural mousy.
