I’ve put waaaaay too much jojoba oil on my hair. Will it look better in the morning?

Thought I’d try it as I’d heard it was good for the hair, but....it looks as greasy as anything.
Will it look better in the morning , or will I still look like a sea lion in an oil slick 😁

Sea Lion but with spots and a greasy pillow case. Grin I’d wash it out.

Aw, fabulous....
I’d better wash it out as dh has changed the bedding to....white.
Up the stairs I go..

Op it will just seem more greasy by morning....if you don't want to wash it out but want rid of some of the greasiness...spritz a bit of dry shampoo or sprinkle a bit of baby powder in your hair...rub in and brush out and it will soak up some of the excess oil,

Theunamedcat · 15/03/2021 19:01

Don't add water shampoo first then the water

poottoot · 15/03/2021 19:05

I wouldn't recommend the baby powder, as I had a similar experience and it turned my hair to a 'mouldable putty' consistency 😂😂 I then had to run a 2 hour training session with all the new staff members staring at my slicked back Lego head.

Notentirelysure2021 · 15/03/2021 19:13

Well, I’ve washed it out, I seem to have got it all.

Dh was ready for shoving me in the oven for 30 mins at 200. I’d have made a nice roast potato. Would have been a chip pre lockdown ...

So much for beeeaauuutiful locks tomorrow.
Thanks for the advice guys 🙂

That’s what I did as I thought it would be the best solution, definitely seems to have worked 🙂

Oh, PlayDoh!

You never know, you might have just done a modern version of the 80s VO5 hot oil and you’ll have beautiful hair tomorrow. Although in the 80s mine was just greasy with a burnt scalp after a hot oils session.

Wonderbrush · 16/03/2021 02:58

What I do Is completely saturate my hair with oil. Put it in a turban or old t shirt and leave it overnight. Then you wash it out the next day. Sometimes I apply oil on damp hair as apparently that helps penetrate oil better. Or you can use a hot towel on your head

Monty27 · 16/03/2021 04:53

Never condition overnight unless you're prepared to strip the bed the following day
Or
If you're intending to strip your bed put on an overnight conditioner the night before
Hth 😅
