Today while trudging back from the park with 2 kids, scooters and bikes wearing the trusty Didriksons parka that I have basically lived in for the past 6 months I passed another mum. A cool mum. (One with older children who don't wipe banana or snot on her or make her carry muddy scooters but I digress...)
Cool mum as she will now be known was wearing straight legged jeans and slightly funky Nikes. She had on a plain grey hoodie and a navy coat over the top. It's the coat I'm after.. it was navy with either one or two buttons and quite light so not a proper winter coat, more of a spring or autumn coat but still wool/ fabric rather than a waterproof.
Cool mum's coat gave me a sense that parka season is ending and the season of wasps and demands for ice lollies when we go to the park is in sight. To bridge that awkward shoulder season between freezing and wasps I've decided that I need a coat like cool mum. I've had a Google but not turning up much so I wonder if you lovely ladies from S&B could give me some suggestions.
