Who can I follow on YouTube or similar who is over 50 and natural?

Not Trinny.

Anyone got any recommendations on over 50 year olds giving skin and style advice who aren’t relying on fillers/Botox?

I think if you’re insisting on no Botox or fillers you’ll struggle to find anyone to follow!

I like Dominique Sachse although she has done videos of herself getting fillers, and her makeup style is your basic “US news presenter” (because that’s what she is). She can also be deeply earnest in that American hyper-Christian way (“be bold and be blessed!”) which makes me giggle sometimes (and I’m American myself!). But I really love good makeup tutorials and she is brilliant at those. I also like her fashion videos which she does from time to time.

Angie from Hot and Flashy is another channel I like - really comprehensive skincare research and great makeup tutorials and reviews. Fillers/Botox? Don’t know.

Caroline Barnes might be worth a try, she's over 40 rather than 50 oh and Nadine Baggott is good (and over 50). They don't do style and I think they've done more than just skincare and make up on their faces.

There's a lady called Nisha on YouTube who goes by the name sugarpuffandfluff who does amazing stuff with cosmetics and gives you detailed breakdowns of the why and what of everything. And give you tips on making you look the very best version of yourself. I'm in awe of her. She has the most mesmerising accent as well.

Ali Young?

ooh that’s exactly the kind of thing I was thinking of. Thank you x

I really like Lisa Eldridge for make-up and Justine leConte for all style-type stuff.

Loopyloututu2 · 05/03/2021 20:15

I like nadine baggot and the beauty hags - I think she does have Botox etc but it’s very natural and she is extremely knowledgeable about skincare in particular.

GrumpyHoonMain · 05/03/2021 21:41

Ruby Hammer of Ruby and Milli fame. Honestly she’s the only beauty professional over 50 who I believe when it comes to the natural look.

PaulHollywoodsLowHangingFruit · 05/03/2021 21:51

Frederique Bros has a nice way about her and is pretty natural I think.

Wonderbrush · 05/03/2021 22:03

The Beauty maverick. Her name is Karen and I find her very genuine.

ElderMillennial · 06/03/2021 10:16

Lisa Eldridge

Basin Baget

Maybe also search for make up for over 50s, mature skincare, that sort of thing and see what comes up. You might find some you tubers you get on with.

grownup2 · 06/03/2021 23:34

I find Busbee Style for over 40s quite cheery and practical on YouTube for outfit tweaks.

Makeuplover · 08/03/2021 17:30

Nikol Johnson. Although she has minimal beauty treatments and is in her 40s, She did a fierce ageing series and did makeup on ladies from the age of 40 to 100

EineReiseDurchDieZeit · 08/03/2021 17:34

Nadine Baggott

Has had work done (so not natural) but knows her shit on the beauty scene about products and brands

frugalkitty · 08/03/2021 17:50

I agree about Nisha although I think she's had a couple of things done but she's completely open about it, also I like Stephanie Marie although she's 40s rather than 50s. I really liked the videos that simple Annalisa used to have up but I think she's deleted them, I found her from here after someone recommended the make up like a french girl video a while back

lindyloo57 · 08/03/2021 22:06

I follow suger puff and fluff, and Angie of hot and flashy but they both have had work done ,

Amortentia · 09/03/2021 10:38

Ill add - The Hooded Lid and Angela Stuart Beauty.

Deathraystare · 11/03/2021 12:29

Yeah Sugar Puff and Fluff is lovely!

Notanotherhun · 11/03/2021 14:14

I watched a Lisa Eldridge video recently and was absolutely shocked at the difference in her appearance. All power to her but it is really dispiriting to see such beautiful women basically change their faces so much. And no, makeup doesn't magically plump your face or render you smooth.

Coniferhedge · 11/03/2021 14:40

PamperedWolf is quite good. She’s over 40, but sometimes gets her Mum in too to have chats about skincare and make up.

I also like Monique Parent for make up tutorials.

Thanks Paul, just watched one of her tutorials and like her approach to makeup- it doesn't look caked on.
