If I like Cos for the style and shape, but want more colour than just black/navy/grey, where should I look?

Toast? Kin in John Lewis?

Coming into spring/summer COS Islay have more colour. It varies from year to year. You can filter on their website by colour which I find useful.

I would say cos Grin I have loads of things in beautiful colours from cos, soft green, burnt orange, sky blue! Once we can shop in shops again you'll see their stores are merchandised by colour scheme so very easy to find things in colours you like. They also often do the same garment in multiple colours which is fun!

Woodspritely · 02/03/2021 20:12

This is great, thank you. Love some of the Kin stuff.
Toast never seems to work well on me for some reason, I don’t know why.
Like the advice to stick with Cos! I’m definitely a fan but am feeling drab and want some spring brights to cheer me up.

I love my one COS dress in bright blue but I've never seen anything equally bright there. I'm also hoping they get brighter clothes in.

Look at the Scandi brands, like Noa Noa and Birger et Mikkelsen.

This is a link to the Danish version of John Lewis, it may throw up some brand inspiration.

Carolyn Donnelly The Edit at dunnesstores.com has a similar Cos vibe.

She does some colour. A lot of black, navy and khaki too.
Well worth a look.

I'm sorry I can't do links.

Jellybott · 03/03/2021 10:54

Monki. Both owned by the same group, but Monki has lots of loud prints and colours with the same oversized shapes as Cos

LadyEloise · 03/03/2021 12:17

Perhaps someone could do a link for you to The Edit ?

I’ve looked at that Olive website, and whilst the clothing is lovely it’s nearly all one size! Which is cheap and lazy marketing imo.

At least Cos do the full range of grown up women sizes. And yy to Monki too.

I saw that on Olive - "a 6-8 will have a loose fit while a 12 would have a closer fit", no shit Sherlock. And what about us busty 14's?

Losing the style by not enabling different sizes.

Ooh, I’m liking this one!

I looked up the lfmarkey site. What's with the silly poses of the models. HmmYou don't get to see the clothes properly.
White Stuff have models wearing cardigans or jackets over the dresses they are modelling.
Probably achingly cool but stupid.
