I seem to remember something like this? Not sure how to do links but I really like the cute collar flecked coat from the topshop warehouse. Would try on (if I can find it in my local ones)before buying anyway but could do with opinions first as I might get carried away if I see it and its lovely then afer wearing realise its unflattering!

I think they do make people look bigger, especially if you're broad.

I think it can depend on the cut. I have a lovely fitted greatcoat thing from Monsoon with a double breast and it is very flattering - even though I look a little as though I am about to march on Moscow.

Think they do make people look bigger but it might look ok on you, given your body shape. Still think single breasted are generally more flattering. You can make yourself look more even proportion-wise in other ways.

Hmm thank you, will have to go and try stuff on I think, the only two coats I've seen that I like are double breasted. I'm sure that once upon a time I used to see something I liked, buy it, then that was that... this post baby thing my body is doing is annoying, it's like being a teenager again and learning what suits me and making mistakes a lot again.
