Would like a "foxy" handbag, where can I find one?

Saw mention of "foxy" handbags in another thread and thought what a fab idea.
Where is a good place to look?
I don't do bag shopping with any success, last time I bought one was two years ago!

would you like one of mine?

Lulu Guinness?

can I ask, in all honesty, what you do with those clutch bags?

I have a few (no doubt dire) posh drinks things coming up and always think a clutch bag will do but then get there and find it a PITA to hold onto it all night and hold a drink in the other and then never have a spare hand to shake hands with people I'm introduced to iyswim?

what do you do with them?

JackieNo · 03/11/2007 22:02

Don't know - stick them behind a chair somewhere?

Pannacotta · 03/11/2007 22:03

v funny foxinsocks!
Agree though, I cant do clutch bags either, a bag needs to go on my shoulder.
Like the Lulu G ones JackieNo but they look quite formal, was looking for more slouchy type of foxy IYSWIM!

What sort of budget? I quite like this, but it's £££.
Or this but it's a bit more eveningy, imo.
Or this?

Have you looked at the department stores like John Lewis or Debenhams?

They always seem to have loads.

Pannacotta · 03/11/2007 22:14

They ARE nice JN but maybe not practical -really need to be able to wipe it clean with 5 month old DS2 around
Have looked at both JL and Debs but no joy, dont know why I find it so hard to find nice bags which look ok on me...

hmmm I share your pain.

Have you looked at places like Clarks? They often have some good value leather bags (quite pricey but well made iyswim).

I see, on the John Lewis site, they have clutch bags with thin shoulder straps to solve the clutch bag issue .

Will try Clarks...
Anymore for anymore?
