Hello wise style and beauty-ers !

I need some of your collective wisdom please.

I am 36 (nearing 37) and though it high time that I started to look after my skin and start to sort the early signs of aging. I've had quite a battle with adult acne most of my life which is finally under control. I use quite a strong prescription lotion every night. I have some scarring around my jaw and lower cheeks, and still very oily skin around my nose but the spots are pretty much gone. Hooray!

After reading some threads on here I bought some of the new Boots Retinol night cream and have been using it every 2-3 nights for three weeks. Amazingly I can already see a bit of a difference, my skin just looks nicer. Am moisturising every day and wearing zero make up anyway because lockdown and apart from a bit of redness on my cheeks it doesn't seem to be irritating me.

So.... what can I use on my eyes? The retinol isn't recommended for that area. I have dark circles underneath and the beginnings of lines around the outer edges of my eyes. Any recommendations? I am already drinking lots of water and trying to get lots of sleep (I have small children but I usually get a good 7 hours these days) but it doesn't seem to make much of a difference.

Can't go mega expensive but don't mind spending a bit to get something decent that works!

I use tretinoin which is much stronger and I’ve never had an issue using it around the eyes, I just avoid the upper eyelids.

Really @Mrstwiddle that's interesting. I thought my you weren't supposed to put retinol anywhere near your eyes.

I looked at the the stronger stuff but thought I'd try retinol first, and luckily it seems to be doing the job. I'll keep the stronger stuff on the back burner for when I need it!
