Kids' muddy trainers driving me crazy. Waterproof trainer equivalent you can just run under a tap?

My primary aged son's trainers are driving me crazy. They are always muddy.

You know how 'country boots' (not something I possess) can just be washed off under the outside tap and remain completely dry inside... is there any equivalent for him that he can play in the park in, run around, etc.?

Wellies aren't really the answer. I'm hoping for something versatile that he can wear around the shops/go to friends' houses in (when those activities are permitted) as well as playing in the mud.

He's approx size EU34... maybe a 2G/H in Clarks with a high instep (can't measure at present!). Navy is always preferable, as it goes with everything.

Any suggestion so greatly appreciated!
