dont listen to cod! its fab!! buy buckets and buckets of it!

GunpowderPlottingToiletFlusher · 02/11/2007 19:14

Well I thought it was rubbish and I didn't look any different but my sister (swanky city gal) lurrrrves it!

Doubletop · 02/11/2007 19:15

Don't listen to Cod, it s fab. But the secret is, use lots, and put your slap on straight away while its still damp.

inamuckingfuddle · 02/11/2007 19:34

yes must put make up on immediately or it starts to come off as you apply make up

I got some before my wedding (years ago!)I've never actually bought it since, as it is often a freebie in the special offers they do, so you could try it out that way?

MyEye · 02/11/2007 19:41

when I tried it for the first time, DH (never notices haircuts or anything) said without prompting that I looked "less puffy"
therefore I think it must do something fairly marvellous

BroccoliSpears · 02/11/2007 19:44

I was a bit dubious when I was given a tube, but have to admit that it is rather marvellous. Sploosh it on and then wang your slap straight on. It makes me less grey and haggard, more bright and boingy, and it feels nice.

rookiemum · 02/11/2007 19:45

Not a great fan I have to admit, doesn't seem to make a huge difference to how I look, perhaps the raw material is too much of a challenge for it

VeniVidiVickiQV · 02/11/2007 20:27

Ah good tip double top.

I love it - use it at least 4 times a week - can't see witchhazel doing the same thing at all. Pulls my face up from my knees to at least see hwere I'm going for the school run!

Love it.

Double Top is right.

skibump · 02/11/2007 20:38

Does it work if you don't wear makeup?

JacketPotatoTeddy · 02/11/2007 20:39

Love it
It's fab under make up and is quite divine if used as a face mask
I have to admit I use mine most days. If not on whole face then on my forehead!

sugarfree · 02/11/2007 20:40

Nope.Don't like it.

kittycrackles · 02/11/2007 20:41

Nope, couldn't see the difference.

haychEebeeJeebees · 02/11/2007 20:41

useless, makes no difference to my skin at all.
Which is suprising because i love most other clarins stuff.

BreeVanDerCampLGJ · 02/11/2007 20:43

I am soooooooooooooooooooo allergic to it, it is not funny.

When I put it on.....my whole face goes on fire and I then feel the need to wash it off and start again.

The one time I refused to wipe it off and start again I lasted 10 minutes and had a "burnt" face for days.

Test it before you use it, IYKWIM.

And I am a Clarins girl the rest of the time.

VeniVidiVickiQV · 02/11/2007 20:47

Oh bugger LGJ

Well....I buyed some today.....

I have just tried it out, under bunch of brand spanking new make up.....

BreeVanDerCampLGJ · 02/11/2007 20:51

If your skin is not tingling/burning you will be fine.

VeniVidiVickiQV · 02/11/2007 20:59

No tingling or burning.

Definitely worth the money

Particularly since I got some lovely little samples with my purchase - tinted moisturiser, body lotion, normal moisturiser and a sample perfume - which is actually quite nice!

(I think the lady on the counter felt sorry for me - she'd seen me struggling with DS to the point of sweat dripping off of me...)

Have to say though - Virgin Vie's Skin Dew does as good a job, albeit in a slightly different way.

VeniVidiVickiQV · 03/11/2007 08:28

Oh I forgot to add....after applying etc, DP walked into the room last night and when I turned around he said "ooh - you look pretty". (He's not the sort to proffer a compliment, unsolicited ).
