I cut my hair last night whilst drunk

Thought I'd give you all a laugh. Broke my dry Jan last night and my hair has been driving me crazy and no sign of hairdressers opening soon. So thought it was a good idea to get the dog scissors and chop . Didn't remember when I first woke up, just saw lots of hair in the bin and remembered.....

I've done that before. It was below my boobs and I cut it to chin length. It was wonky as fuck. When I went to the salon to get it fixed I said I let my friend cut it

I've fished the top bits out of the bin to show how much I've cut off, I'm too scared to look in the mirror let alone post a pic.

Thankfully not pixie, I can obviously feel it and its above shoulders so just long enough to put up but the front is v short. Thankfully I look good in hats.

I wish I could blame alcohol for the 'fringe' I gave myself in the first lockdown.

I have cut my own hair many times. Once I did such a great bob that people were asking where I'd had it done ?!?! - I made up some rubbish about a hairdresser in 'our village' and hoped they didn't ask any more questions.

Being a bit tiddly just gave you the courage..

For those of you who are wondering, I think dog scissors will just be the sharp scissors used to trim wild and woolly bits from the dog's coat.

I got pissed and pierced my own ears using a safety pin and a cube of ice.

i was 47 at the time.

Yes dog scissors are just really sharp, used for cutting out the odd knot on my long haired dog (they were clean!) So at least it's better than when my toddler did it at nursery with safety scissors. I've showered and it could be worse. Its very uneven especially a extra short bit in the back but I don't look like I've just shagged Edward which is a relief.

I’m sure nobody will notice! Everyone’s hair looks a bit shit right now. We still have lots of lockdown left, so just wear a hat if it’s that bad and wait for it to grow back.

I cut my fringe when drunk and not wearing my glasses in November. Usually I’m pretty good at cutting my fringe, but not this time! It only just got to the right length by mid January! I’ve never been so glad to be furloughed and in lockdown (and that the weather was cold so I could wear hats!!)

I cut my hair with kitchen scissor in the shower last week. It's been 18 months since I last got it cut and I just lost the plot. It looks ok, certainly better than the straggly mess it was.

I did this once! Don't know what I was thinking. I'm teetotal, so can't even plead drunk as an excuse.

I remember vaguely thinking "How hard can it be?" Famous last words.

I was on a bus to the hairdresser's with a hat rammed on my head later that day 🙄

I once went overboard with the MumsNet haircut circa 2008. I ended up with a mullet 😫
